Voici une mise à jour du pack d'administration d'Operations Manager permettant la supervision de votre infrastructure de supervision :) . De nombreuses nouveautés, modifications et corrections de bug sont aux programmes !

Supervision de l'état de santé de vos agents de supervision
- Operations Manager agents monitor themselves for events and performance indicators that signal an issue with the agent’s health.
- Management servers also maintain an external perspective of an agent’s health via the Health Service Watcher.
- The ‘Agent Health State’ view provides a side-by-side dashboard of both perspectives on the agent.
Capacité d'autoremédiation de vos agents (facultatif)
- If the Health Service Watcher determines that an agent is unhealthy, a series of diagnostics and recoveries can be enabled to further diagnose the problem and event take actions to attempt to fix the problem (e.g. Ping the server to see if it is completely offline, start a stopped agent, trigger a reinstall, etc.). Refer to the management pack guide for more details.
- Agents are monitoring their own process to ensure that memory utilization is not sustained at unacceptable levels. If this condition is detected then the agent will automatically restart itself to force the freeing up of memory.
Détection des problèmes de configuration des Run As Accounts et Profile
- Checks are run on a regular basis to detect if any of the management group’s “Windows” type Run As Accounts have credentials which are about to expire. Alerts will be raised, and where possible this will be done in advance of the credentials expiring to avoid outages.
- Alerts will be raised if any errors are encountered during the distribution of Run As Accounts.
Supervision des problèmes issus lors de l'exécution de Workflows
- Numerous rules are provided to detect if workflows within management packs are failing. Examples of workflows include discoveries, rules, monitors, etc. Failures can range from bad configurations on the workflows themselves, script failures, permissions problems, etc.
Nouveauté en terme de reporting
- Introduced with the 6.1.7599.0 release of the management pack, these reports provide insight into the overall data volumes being processed by your environments. These reports can be used for gaining an understanding of current usage levels in order to establish a baseline and for identifying opportunities for tuning.
- Introduced in the 6.1.7599.0 release of the management pack, these reports gather information and sends reports to Microsoft on a weekly basis (if you select to send reports). Microsoft uses these reports to improve the quality of its management packs and Operations Manager 2007. Participation in the program is strictly voluntary. Voici une mise à jour très fortement attendue par les utilisateurs de Windows Server 2008 R2 ! Le support du service DHCP sur la derniere édition du système d'exploitation serveur de l'éditeur ! C'est désormais chose faite avec cette version 6.0.6709.0 !
Vue d'ensemble des capacités de ce dernier:
- Ability to monitor for DHCP and DHCPv6 service availability (stopped state)
- Ability to monitor for startup failures that are due to issues found within service initialization data
- Ability to monitor for startup failures that are due to network or communication issues
- Ability to monitor for unexpected service terminations
- Ability to monitor DHCP and DHCPv6 scope
- Ability to detect when unauthorized DHCP and DHCPv6 servers are on the network
- Ability to detect when DHCP and DHCPv6 are unable to restore the DHCP database
- Ability to monitor DHCP NAP related events
- Ability to monitor the Link Layer filtering feature that is used to allow or deny the servicing of IP address to clients
- Ability to monitor the Name Protection feature that is used to prevent name squatting issues caused due to non-Windows operating system computers on the network that register with DNS using a name that is already with DNS
- Ability to monitor the scope with delay feature that is used to prevent exhaustion of IP addresses from a scope especially those deployed for redundancy such as split-scope
- Ability to monitor the configuration changes made on DHCP and DHCPv6 scopes and certain features at DHCP and DHCPv6 server levels

Quelques semaines après la sortie officielle de Data Protection Manager 2010, voici la première version Beta du Management Pack pour SCOM 2007. Ce pré version est disponible sur Microsoft Connect.
Bien évidement la sauvegarde état un élément clé de votre système d’information, il est important de le superviser sérieusement non seulement pour vérifier l’état de votre serveur DPM, les services liés à l’application, l’espace disque disponible dans le Pool de Stockage, les travaux planifiés…

Voici un nouveau pack d'administration permettant la supervision de la version 2 du service ADFS alias Active Directory Federation Services embarqué dans Windows Server 2008 et 2008 R2
Voici le périmètre fonctionnel de ce dernier:
- Events that indicate service outages and operational errors or warnings
- Alerts that indicate configuration issues and background tasks failures or warnings
- Whether auditing is occurring successfully
- Communication between the federation server and the federation server proxy
- Notification of malformed access requests
- Website availability
- The health of the Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) certificate of the federation passive website in Internet Information Services (IIS)

Voici un nouveau pack d'administration dédié au futur serveur d'application baptisée Windows Server AppFabric, future, car ce dernier est actuellement disponible en Release Candidate (RC).
